Tivoli Netcool Performance Management and Service Management from Vallent

Description: In February 2007, IBM announced their acquisition of Vallent Corporation to further advance their move into the service provider OSS arena. This followed the acquisition of Micromuse by IBM one year earlier, and the combination of Micromuse and Vallent within IBM immediately made IBM the largest OSS provider of Fault Management and Performance Management OSS systems to the service provider space. This Webcast will concentrate on the Vallent product solutions and what it brings to the Tivoli Netcool portfolio within IBM Tivoli.
You will learn about the new product offerings from Tivoli Netcool:- Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager for Wireless (formerly known as NetworkAssure)
- Tivoli Netcool Service Quality Manager (formerly known as ServiceAssure)
- Tivoli Netcool Network Mediation, a billing grade mediation platform ideal for large scale OSS mediation
- The commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) service model solution offerings and the immediate benefits of this strategy to service provider clients
- The core Technology Pack offerings and the immediate benefits to service provider clients.
The presentation will include roadmap information and also discuss how these solutions complement the IBM Tivoli Netcool product portfolio. The webcast will also outline IBM's integrated Service Assurance strategy, covering how the combination of integrated products and point solutions address key challenges service providers experience today.
Last, the session will invite Vallent customers to join the Tivoli Netcool User Groups to continue to leverage the IBM's comprehensive Service Assurance solutions, including Fault, Performance and Service Quality Management solutions for wireless, IP and wireline technologies.

Speaker Bio: Ciaran is an ex-Vallent technical sales manager now working in the Tivoli Netcool portfolio. He has worked for a network equipment provider, a service provider and Vallent, a supplier of Performance and Service Management solutions. Ciaran is currently responsible for leading the Vallent focused technical sales reps in providing technical pre-sales support to the IBM sellers.
