What would the purpose of inactivating a filespace instead of deleting it? Let it expire by TSM? Thanks for your feedback.

As many of you know, today was the inaugural meeting of the Michigan Maximo User Group and I am pleased to announce it was a resounding success! In our very first meeting, there were over 40 Michigan-based Maximo users in attendance and the feedback was ALL positive.

So what is the best route: TAMIT 7.2.1 or ITILv3 fo rmy next test? Both bring my company to AAA accreditation for EAM with IBM. Looking for your thoughts?

Would be great to have presentation's material from last UGM in Palmerston North to be made available as planned.

I wish to get a few of them to support my presentation to company's executive. Would you please advise whom I can contact re: this?

Many thanks

How It Works

Now you can communicate and share your thoughts and information easily with other TUC members by using the "Comment" or "Content" submission buttons wherever you see the above icon.

This new website capability has been added for your benefit

Imagine being able to plug your brain into the brains of some of your most talented peers, and instantly gain their knowledge. This capability has the potential of accomplishing a similar information transfer, minus the Frankenstein looking lab and wires. Content and comments contributed by you and your peers combine together to create a rare and unique collection of knowledge around Tivoli products and services. As a TUC member you are able to instantly access this information which cannot be found anywhere else on the planet! This unique pool of information and ideas is invaluable.

Earning Points

One point is given to you each time you make a "content" or "comment" contribution. A running total of all the points you have earned is saved on the TUC community database and can be viewed on your "My Account" page at the end of each month.

(Example below)

Points for current period: 5 <- This number represents all of your current points earned within a quarter. For example, if you add one comment right now, your "Points for current period" will increase by one point.Current period points are posted to your “My Account” page at the end of each month. At the end of each quarter all of your "Points for current period" are added to your "Lifetime points" and your "Points for current period" is reset back to zero.

Lifetime points: 10 <-This number represents all of the points you have ever earned. "Lifetime points" only increase on a quarterly basis based on what you contributed in the previous quarter, they never reset back to zero.

Get rewarded for being a TUC Community top comment/content contributor

The more you and your peers contribute information to the TUC community website, the more valuable the community website becomes. In appreciation of your content/comment contributions, the GTUG council will reward members with highest number of contribution points by sending them a special gift at the end of each quarter. Please click here for "rules and regulations".

Frequently Asked Questions:

•  When I click on some of the ”Be Heard Click Here” icons nothing happens.
The “Be Heard Click Here” icons were designed to quickly bring you to where the “Post or Read a Comment” bars are located.  Some of the content pages on this site are shorter than others and so the “Post or Read a Comment” bars are already visible on the page.  If this is the case, clicking on the “Be Heard Click Here” icon is not necessary.  Just begin using the feature by clicking on the “Post or Read a Comment” bar.

•  What type of content can I upload?
Items that can be uploaded should be in the following formats; pdf, .doc, .ppt, .xls, .zip. Executable (.exe) files will not be allowed. File size must not exceed 6MB. URLs and HTML code are not allowed

•  Can I upload multiple documents at the same time and do I receive a point for each item?
Yes, you may upload multiple documents at the same time. You may convert multiple files into a zip file and submit it as one content submission for which you will receive only one contribution point.

•  Do I get points for leaving any kind of comment?
Yes, you will receive a point for any comment submitted, however the quality of comments and content is taken into consideration when choosing who will receive a reward for the highest number of contribution points.

  •  Do I receive points for multiple comments to one section ?
Members can post any number of comments within each section.

•  Can I respond to comments left by other members? Is this similar to a forum?
Yes, you can respond to another members' previous comment.

•  Are my comments anonymous?
No, your comments are not anonymous. The first letter of your first name and your full last name, along with a date and time stamp are posted once you make a submission.

•  Can I delete a comment, or remove content I submitted?
No, you cannot delete or remove content once it has been successfully posted to the website.

•  Can I edit my comments or content after it has been submitted?
No, you cannot edit comments or content once it has been successfully posted to the website. Be sure to double check your submission for errors before you click submit.

•  What do I do when I see someone has posted spam?
A "Report spam" link is located next to every comment/content submission. If you have spotted spam or abuse, please click on this link and follow the instructions on how to submit a spam report. Please review the website "Terms and Conditions " to learn what is considerd abuse or spam.

•  How will I know if I am the highest contributor?
Within 30 days after the end of each quarter the top content contributors will be notified. Please click here for rules and regulations.

•  What kind of gift will you send me?
Special gifts will vary. You will be notified as to what type of gift you will receive once you have been identified as the top contributor.

•  If we are only rewarded for points earned each quarter, what is the purpose of the "Lifetime Points"?
As we continue to evolve this new capability, the GTUG Council may decide to offer special contests that include your "Lifetime Points". Keeping track of your "Lifetime Points" is also good way to gauge your level of contribution participation over a long period of time.
