| TUG Website News and Stats | | | Tivoli User Group Community: We are growing!
We started out the year with 58 Tivoli User Groups and
after only three months we have added seven new
groups.

The Tivoli Tri-State User Group has added a little fun
and games to their last meeting by playing the Tivoli
Pursuit game. The objective is to have fun testing your
knowledge of the use and implementation of the Tivoli
products. The creator of the game, Tom Moore, of the
Tivoli Tri-State User Group, has indicated that the
group really liked playing the game and just had it's
second trivia game at their meeting earlier this month..

| IBM to acquire Candle Corp., software firm | | | IBM says it has agreed to acquire Candle Corporation, a
privately held software and consulting company based
in El Segundo, CA. Financial details were not
disclosed.
"Candle brings award-winning infrastructure
management expertise and technology to the IBM
software portfolio," said Steve Mills, senior vice
president and group executive of IBM Software
Group. "Together we will provide customers with
powerful capabilities for managing end-to-end
infrastructure, processes and applications, which are
key requirements for the on demand operating
environment." Combining the two companies will offer
our customers a more comprehensive set of solutions,
which will enable IT to deliver greater business value."Some of the areas that users will benefit from are the
integration of Candle monitoring tools to TBSM (Tivoli
Business Systems Manager) specially in the mainframe
arena and the real time monitoring capabilities of
