Implementing, or planning
to implement, ITM v6?
"No out-of-the-box reporting is provided with
ITM v6. Instead of developing reports using
an expensive and difficult to use generalised
reporting tool, why not try QuickReporter for
ITM which starts at only $35 per server?
Standard report libraries are provided, and
customised reports can be generated. Reports
can be scheduled, produced on-demand, defined
by resource group and sent automatically by
e-mail.

Monitoring
The IBM Tivoli Monitoring (ITM) 6.1 Solution
Installer allows a user to install custom
monitoring solutions using the ITM 6.1
Universal Agent (UA) that monitors new
applications, as well as "value-add"
solutions on top of already existing ITM 6.1
agents. A "value-add" solution is one that
installs new situations, queries, and
workspaces for an existing IBM Tivoli
Monitoring V6.1 agent. For example, if you
have insight into how the retail industry
uses IBM DB2® for their in-store database,
you can install customized workspaces and
situations that you downloaded from OPAL, or
provided by an IBM Business Partner that
relate to this retail environment. Go to URL for more details.

Webcast: Managing your Application
Servers and Web Services in a Service
Oriented Architecture
In a Service Oriented Architecture, you need
to be able to manage application servers,
understand transport mechanisms, manage
mediation services, understand how the
routing of messages occur and we need to do
this while we are managing the applications
and services themselves. When we can
effectively understand and manage all of
these aspects, we can more easily isolate and
resolve application/services issues to ensure
that we are maintaining IT efficiency and
maximizing positive end user experience. Register here.
