To all Tivoli User Community members:

We have just launched a series of initiatives intended to make the Tivoli User Community (TUC) more collaborative and useful to you, our members.  These initiatives are based on input provided by our membership and reflect a desire for more networking, social media capabilities, feedback and technical content.  We expect these new capabilities and services to bring about a fundamental change in the way community you interact with each other and receive information.  Here are some of the major enhancements that will be launched this year:
  • Member profiles -Allow members to identify themselves by interest area, industry, user group, and more in an effort to build greater networking capabilities and enhance collaboration between members.  Members can opt-in to use the profiles and identify and contact others through a private messaging service. (Coming in October )
  • Community generated content - Enables members to create their own content including videos that can be shared with the community and rated. (Coming in November)
  • Market and technology insights - Feedback provided by members on new and emerging issues that are likely to have a significant impact on your organization.  Topics such as virtualization and "green" computing will be explored in the current quarter.
Stay tuned for more details and special announcements as we deploy these initiatives in the coming months. Danyel Otteson, our IBM liaison community manager, will be working with us along with the full support of the IBM/Tivoli organization.  You can contact me, Mark Sidlauskas or Danyel Otteson directly if you have any questions regarding any of these initiatives.
