To all Tivoli User Community members,

On behalf of the Global Tivoli User Group (GTUG) council we want to wish all of our community members a Happy New Year for 2010. We had an outstanding year in 2009 and grew our membership by more than 5,000 to reach a total membership of 26,000. Some 2009 highlights include: 192 local/virtual user group meetings; eight webcasts; five new virtual user groups; and two Ask the Expert Online Jam sessions that featured more than 150 Tivoli experts across the portfolio.

This past year we also completed a series of internal transformation initiatives to drive greater collaboration and communication through the community. Member profiles were deployed in the fourth quarter of 2009 and we recently rolled-out new capabilities to deliver user generated videos. Members can now opt-in to receive customized content based on their interest areas and preferences.

Let the community help you do your job! Leverage the TUC as a source of product knowledge, a network of experts and valued information source for events, news and education/certification.

Here are some ways to take advantage of new TUC features and capabilities:

    1. Update your profile and opt-in preferences enabling you to network with other community members and create your own customized news content.. more info

    2. Attend a Virtual user group meeting along with your local user groups. We recently launched three new virtual groups for Storage, Security and Asset Management that meet on a regular basis.. more info

    3. Check-out our featured videos ranging from Tivoli expert interviews to tech tips on products. As a member of this community we encourage you to contribute your own videos which are hosted on YouTube.. more info

We'll be announcing some promotions later this month to help us get off to a quick start. With your help, we'll take the community to the next level in 2010.
