A little bit about yourself: A chartered electrical engineer, I have worked for Northern Ireland Electricity since 1993. I'm married to Paula, a research scientist in pharmaceuticals, and have a five year old Golden Retriver, Ellie. We are also expecting our first child in November.

Your Interests:

Personal interests: I am an active member of my local church. I also hold a private pilots licence, although rarely get to enjoy it now. I'm keen on photography (particularly where aircraft or wildlife are involved) and enjoy travel. My wife and I have travelled extensively in both Europe and North America.

Career interests: I sit comfortably within the Asset Management arena, and have experience in both RCM and PAS55. IBM Maximo is a key interest... I am particularly interested in how the merging of asset and IT can drive better Asset Management practices.

Advice to TUG Leaders:: As a Leader, this is advice I'd give to other TUG Leaders. Involve your users as much as possible. Without their engagement, a user group cannot succeed.
