A hands-on experience for those interested in examining common compliance and security information event management (SIEM) challenges facing organizations today.

Day Two:
The lifecycle of user ID management will be covered through hands on labs and discussions around account provisioning.

Day Three:
Covering many aspects of access control over web applications, operating systems, and federations, participants will get hands-on experience with IBM solutions.

INTRODUCTION:
Discovering the value of IBM Tivoli Identity, Access and Compliance Insight Management Solutions Proof of Technology (PoT) workshop provides a hands-on experience for those interested in examining common identity management challenges facing organizations today. Participants will learn how IBM Tivoli’s “Best of Breed” Security Management solutions are best suited to solve the following identity management challenges:
Integrating a provisioning system into an existing environment
Providing identity related audit information
On boarding new employees within the company
Improving the user experience with web single sign-on
Handling forgotten passwords
Consistently enforcing security policy across web applications
Requesting and authorizing access
Preventing concurrent userID usage
Self registering for access to an application
Improving the user experience with federated single sign-on
Ensuring employees have appropriate access
Consistently enforcing security policy in a Linux/Unix environment
Validating employee access
Collect, store, investigate and retrieve logs via automated log management
Handling employee job transfer & termination
Perform privileged user monitoring and audit (PUMA)

OBJECTIVE:
The objective of this session is to explore how IBM Tivoli Identity, Access and Compliance Insight Management solutions can enable organizations to more effectively manage identities throughout their IT environment and maintain both internal and regulatory compliance.

AUDIENCE:
This Proof of Technology is specifically targeted for Enterprise / Security Architects, Systems Administrators, and Systems Analysts evaluating Identity & Access Management solutions for their organization. No prerequisite knowledge of any IBM Tivoli Security products is required. However, it is recommended that participants have an understanding of their organization’s business needs and current IT technologies.
