The Next Generation Event Management Proof of Technology (PoT) provides a hands-on experience for those needing to understand the concepts and components of the Netcool monitoring suite and the integration it provides with existing Tivoli® monitoring tools. Participants will gain an appreciation for the synergy between these components as they use IBM® Tivoli’s Event Management tools to monitor and manage their Enterprise Architecture. Additional aspects of the overall solution will be introduced to include best practices, including implementation and customization, to emphasize the power of an integrated set of monitoring and management tools that will facilitate time to value and problem mitigation.

This Proof of Technology (PoT) is designed to demonstrate the capabilities of the IBM Tivoli Netcool monitoring suite. Participants will receive a hands-on experience over the course of seven labs, in addition to presentations that discuss each of the tools in detail, and finish with demonstrations of both the Netcool suite and the integration with IBM Tivoli Monitoring agents and the Tivoli Enterprise™ Portal.
