Member profiles allow you to more easily connect with your peers across the community.

- To participate and connect with the rest of the Tivoli User Community, you need to
- Update your Profile and create a profile name. The registration application has been updated to capture relevant information to enable community networking based on common professional information and interests, personal recommendations, preferences and communication. Login now and go to your account page. For more information, please click here.
- If you are new to the Community, register now to create your profile.
To get the most of this opportunity, it is important that you opt-in to share your profile and be contacted.
- Find other members of the Community based on criteria including Tivoli product class, industry and interest area. For more information, please click here.
- Communicate with members. TUC members can be contacted through this site. In order to contact a member, you will need to have a profile name and opt-in to be contacted. Your message recipient will want to reply to your message. For more information, please click here.
Your profile and opt-in preferences will be used to provide future information services to the community. Update your registration now, make sure to provide all the information listed above, and start networking with other TUC members!

Community Registration
What changes have been made to the TUC registration?
The registration process has been updated to capture relevant information to enable community networking based on the following criteria:
- Basic Search: Primary Role, Company Type, Industry
- Extended Search: User Group information, Geo, Product used, Primary Role, Primary Role, Company Type, Industry
The registration process is divided into 4 sections:
1. About you
This section includes information on your personal, contact, company and location information. Make sure to create a profile name and upload your photo that will be displayed on your public profile.
2. About Your Work
This section includes your professional information, recommended professional links and your areas of interest. The information you supply here will enable you and your peers to connect with each other by searching for members based on roles.
3. Products You Use
This section includes information on the IBM Tivoli products you use and information about your company, including industry your address. Community members using the same products, company type and/or in the same industry are able to connect with each because of the information provided in this section of your registration.
4. Your Opt-ins and Preferences
Share your profile, allow other members to contact you, get notified about and receive new information that is important to you. Make sure to say yes to show your profile and be contacted by other members!
What is a profile name and why do I need one?
The profile name is used to identify you in your shared profiles while keeping your privacy. You need a profile name to communicate with the other members of the community who have opted-in to be contacted. A profile name can be alphanumeric and 3 to 10 characters long. Special charaters are not accepted, this will result in an error on your registration.
Can I update my information anytime?
Yes, your information can be updated anytime by logging in to the site, clicking on the "Update My Profile" tab and clicking on the items on the left navigation.

Member Search
How can I search for other TUC members?
You can search for other TUC members on:
- Member Profiles page - click on "Find other members", or
- My account page - go to "Participate in the Community" and click on "View Member Profiles / Network with the Community" on the left navigation
Please note that in order to view the list of members from a search, you will be required to login.
How can I be searched by other TUC members?
To be searched by other TUC members, you need to opt-in to share your profile on "Your Opt-ins and Preferences".
What information will be displayed on my profile?
Your profile name, primary role, industry, products used and photo, if available, will be displayed on your profile when searched on. Company, geo, interest area, member related links, and additional professional information will be displayed on your extended profile based on your opt-ins and preferences.
Will my contact information be shown on my profile?
No, your contact information will not be made available on the site.

Member Communication
How can I communicate with other TUC members?
Members can be contacted by clicking on the "Contact this member" link on the member profile display. Please note that only members who chose yes to the question, "Would you like to be contacted by other TUC members through this site?" will be able to communicate with each other.
How will I know when another TUC member contacts me?
When a TUC member contacts you, you will receive an email from support@tivoli-ug.org with the subject line, "You have a new message from another TUC member". This will include a link to log in to the site. Your "My account" page will show the number of messages in your mailbox. You can access your messages by clicking on the link.
Will I be able to reply to my messages?
Yes. You can reply to messages by clicking on the "Reply" link at the bottom of each message.
